Baseballs. Shot-puts. Golf balls.
The above video shows the durability of the the new 2015 Ford F-150 truck. In comparison to it’s steel predecessor, the aluminum body absorbs more impact, leaving less damage to the truck in the case of an accident.
Ford held nothing back with their new truck.
The Ford F-150 looks similar to older models. But the the new, high-tech aluminum body gives the truck some new upgrades.
How does the aluminum body help? It decreases the weight of the truck, which comes in around 4,500 pounds. For comparison, the average White Rhino weighs 5,000 pounds. So the new F-150 weighs less than a White Rhino (but it can easily tow one).
But don’t let it’s lighter body dissuade you. Ford designed the frame from high-strength steel, allowing a max towing capacity of 12,200 pounds.
With less heft to the body, the 2015 F-150 gets better fuel economy.
Still not sold? The interior is just as impressive as the exterior. Comfort, space, and up-to-date technology.
