Exterior

The dynamic new shape of the 2016 Honda Civic is one to grab attention. The 10th generation of the Civic is built to show off the fierce new shape and distinctive cut lines.

The LED headlights as well as LED Daytime Running Lights all add up to help the driver see up to 200% better. The Touring models also features all-LED headlights and turn indicators.

The 2016 Honda Civic Touring is fun to drive with a 1.5-liter, turbocharged engine for high cruise efficiency and robust performance. Add 42 hwy mpg to that engine and there’s more to smile about from behind the wheel of this Civic.

The Advanced Capability Engineering or ACE™ Body structure is exclusive to Honda and built to keep the driver and passengers safe. It helps redistribute the energy from a crash more evenly throughout the vehicle instead of into the passenger compartment.

Interior

From the inside of the car, the first thing snags attention is the 7-inch touchscreen. The touchscreen features access to Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. Those both give you full access to your phone through the touchscreen. The screen is also designed to feel just like an iPad or Tablet, you can use that money to touch, pinch and swipe, just like you would on your phone or tablet.

Honda is also now using Garmin Navigation. It doesn’t require a subscription or any updating. It’s a great, intuitive system.

The controls on the steering wheel are also really helpful. They give you a chance to keep your eyes on the road while changing the music or making a call. The touchscreen feel is even carried over with the volume control. You can swipe your finger up and down the control to change the volume.

Another fun feature of the touchscreen in the 2016 Honda Civic is being able to see the backup camera and Honda LaneWatch on the nice, big screen. There are three views for the Rearview Camera, 180º, normal and top down. LaneWatch activates the camera on the passenger-side mirror. This shows the driver exactly what’s going on next to them and in their blind spot no matter where they are. It’s a great safety feature.
