Anytime I go from driving my little hatchback to a bigger SUV, it’s a fun change. I love the feeling of being higher up and above traffic. I got to enjoy the 2017 Jeep Cherokee 4X4 Limited for a winter weekend.
The two engine options offer brilliant power and great efficiency for the 2017 Jeep Cherokee. The standard engine option is a 2.4L Tigershark® MutiAir® 2 engine. It offers 184 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. It’s built to take you anywhere on-road or off. Mated with the 9-speed automatic transmission, this baby can get you up to 28 mpg highway. Plus, enjoy up to 442 highway miles on just one tank in the 2017 Jeep Cherokee 4×4.
The available 3.2L Pentastar® V6 engine gives you an extra boost with an impressive 271 horsepower and 239 lb-ft of torque for towing up to 4,500 lbs. This engine option also comes with Engine Start/Stop technology. It uses a sophisticated system to cut off fuel and turn off the engine when your SUV is stopped. This saves you fuel and reduces emissions.
Weather Comfort Features
Heated seats have become a fairly common convenience feature in many vehicles, and are always awesome in the winter. The 2017 Jeep Cherokee Limited is no different. But, add a standard heated steering wheel and available cooled seats and your world is about to change.
Black, leather seats always look so sleek and classy in a vehicle. Until the winter hits and you’re sliding onto freezing seats. Or, the summer sun starts to bake your car and the seats burn your legs. Enter heated and cooled seats. Ventilated seats remove the need to dance while trying to drive on too-hot seats. In the 2017 Jeep Cherokee Limited, the available ventilated seats work quickly to cool you off.
Plus, the standard heated seats and heated steering wheel will make the winter months that much more comfortable. They heat up quickly and make a chilly midwest winter that much more comfortable.
The touchscreen interface on the 2017 Jeep Cherokee is very easy to use. It’s intuitive and well designed for the driver. When you first start up the Cherokee, the screen gives you the option to turn on your heated/ventilated seats and heated steering wheel. This option pops up before anything else loads, which is a really nice feature when you want to warm up or cool down quickly.
The media and phone options connect with the iPhone nearly seamlessly. Not having to worry about my phone while driving is always a huge relief. The vehicle even has some safety features included. You can’t text while the SUV is in motion or put in addresses in navigation. These are great advancements in terms of driver’s safety.
Keyless entry is becoming more and more prevalent across all kinds of vehicles. It’s a feature that isn’t necessary, but it’s really helpful. During the weekend that I spent behind the wheel of the 2017 Jeep Cherokee, I didn’t take the keys out of my purse once. That’s the kind of convenience feature you want; something to simplify your life and offer peace of mind.
