New car sales were pretty great in 2016. They fell just short of record breaking numbers according to Autoblog. The number one best-selling vehicle in the United States isn’t much of a shock. But, take a look at the best selling vehicles within the Baxter lineup. See what kinds of vehicles drivers in Omaha, Lincoln, Kansas City and Colorado Springs are buying from Baxter.
Baxter Auto’s Best-Selling Vehicles
#1. 2016 Ram 1500
With four Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealerships, it’s not a big surprise Baxter sells the most Ram trucks. The Ram 1500 is higher on Baxter’s list than the national. But, trucks still top both lists.
Best-Selling Vehicles in the US
#1. Ford F-Series Trucks
No surprise here. The F-150 will hold onto its most-popular-vehicle-of-all-time distinction. A title the F-Series trucks have held on to in the US for more than 30 years.
#2. 2016 Ford F-150
In terms of numbers, the 2016 Ford F-150 is right behind the Ram 1500. With the F-Series trucks holding on to the title of most popular vehicle of all-time, it’s no surprise this truck is this high on our list, too.
#2. Chevy Silverado
The Chevy Silverado is right in between the two other top-selling trucks. Chevy sold about 200,000 fewer trucks than the F-Series truck.
#3. 2016 Jeep Cherokee
SUVs and crossovers mostly take over Baxter’s best-seller list from here. Start at number 3 with the 2016 Jeep Cherokee. A great vehicle for off-roading or driving through snow in the city.
#3. Ram Trucks
Ram trucks have been sitting a little under the other truck brands in terms of sales for a few years now. 2016 was no different. All of the power and capability of the 1500 and its Heavy Duty family members are a big draw for truck drivers.
#4. 2016 Toyota RAV4
Sitting higher on Baxter’s list than on the national list is the 2016 Toyota RAV4. The RAV4 has been one of the best-selling crossovers in the US for a while, now.

Now that we’re through the trucks, you can expect a few more sedans and crossovers to start taking over the list. Starting with the Toyota Camry. This Japanese-made sedan has its title as the best-selling sedan in 2016.
#5. 2016 Toyota Highlander

The trail-rated 2016 Jeep Patriot hits Baxter’s list at number 7. With comfort and capability, plus safety and security, the Patriot makes a great vehicle for any adventure.
#7. Honda CR-V
The first crossover makes the list. While the U.S. has been steadily buying more and more crossovers, they haven’t made it to the top of the list, just yet. The Honda CR-V hit number 7 for the 2016 year.
#8. 2016 Toyota Corolla
The 2016 Toyota Corolla makes it on Baxter’s list as the first car. Everything from here on have been larger trucks, SUVs and crossovers. While the Corolla is the second car on the national list, it’s the smaller of the Toyota sedans.
