The C-HR has a distinctive look. The Marketing Team took the opportunity to slide behind the wheel of one for a few days. We asked for the bright blue color; Blue Eclipse. If you’re going to drive a car designed to grab attention on the road, why not embrace it? It was a lot of fun to see all of the second glances and extra attention the 2018 Toyota C-HR got. “It definitely has an edgy look to it, from the front grille to the back spoiler,” one test driver said.
The back doors are also something unexpected, with C-pillar handles that appear to be completely integrated into the back door. The handles might be a little bit too high for children, but once you can reach, the door is lightweight and easy to open.
The 18″ wheels also set the 2018 Toyota C-HR apart from other vehicles on the road. It’s nice to sit up a little higher, while the vehicle still doesn’t feel too large from behind the steering wheel. The sport alloy wheels, featuring a vortex-styled design, truly compliment the C-HR’s look perfectly.
The interior is quite a bit roomier than it looks like it’s going to be. The back seat offers plenty of room for an adult to sit comfortably. And the front seats are just as inviting, especially the driver’s seat with a standard soft-touch leather-trimmed steering wheel.
The dash angles toward the driver, making the whole driving experience feel comfortable and natural. An added bonus is the backup camera. It’s integrated into the rearview mirror – right where you naturally look while in reverse.
One super-fun touch inside the 2018 C-HR is the diamond-inspired interior. It’s designed to further showcase the “car’s signature diamond-inspired look and feel.” The look and feel of the diamond trim accents along the door is really impressive.
Additional interior features that helped make the drive that much more comfortable include dual-zone automatic climate control, available heated seats and the standard 60/40 split rear seats.
